Previously, only the big names SMWS and Berry Bros \u0026amp; Rudd succeeded in this. Thus, we are only the third independent bottler who can claim to bring a bottling from this distillery to the market. We think that alone is quite mad. But what makes this still small and by many still unregarded distillery so special that we bought a cask from it? Well, the Danes not only know how to distil good whisky, but they are also the first to smoke their malt over the smoke of nettles. The owner knows this method from his home island of Funen, where cheese, for example, is smoked this way. So, the distillery has a malt here that is not peated but nettle-smoked.
