Der 2019er Château Brun aus dem Saint-Émilion Grand Cru kommt in dieser Ausgabe als Magnum - ideal für lange Tafelrunden oder die eigene Weinsammlung. Ein familiengeführtes Gut auf klassischem Ton-Kalkstein-Terroir, verkörpert durch einen Merlot-geprägten Bordeaux mit Cabernet-Franc-Anteil.
Geschmack
Mit einem Anteil von 80% Merlot und 20% Cabernet Franc ist stilistisch ein saftig-fruchtbetonter, samtiger Rotwein mit reifer Frucht und feinem Tanningerüst zu erwarten, wie er für die Rive-Droite-Weine aus Saint-Émilion typisch ist.
Herstellung
Die Reben stehen auf 10 Hektar Ton-Kalkstein-Boden und sind im Schnitt 40 Jahre alt – ein Alter, das üblicherweise für mehr Konzentration und Tiefe im Wein sorgt. Gelesen wird von Hand. Der Ausbau erfolgt differenziert: 60% im Tank, 10% in neuen Barriques und 30% in bereits gebrauchten Barriques (ein Jahr und älter) – ein Verfahren, das Frucht und Struktur behutsam austariert, ohne den Wein mit Röstaromen zu überladen.

Ein klassischer Essensbegleiter zu rotem Fleisch, Rind, Lamm oder Wild sowie zu gereiftem Hartkäse – die typische Struktur eines Merlot-dominierten Saint-Émilion harmoniert gut mit kräftigeren Gerichten.
