2023 Spätburgunder Dry Red Wine • GLATT • Quality Wine from Kaiserstuhl/Baden, Germany

This spicy-dry Spätburgunder red wine from Ihringen on the Kaiserstuhl/Baden is the ideal companion for relaxing moments on the balcony, but is also suitable for special occasions such as birthdays and Christmas. With its pleasant dry spice, the dry German red wine particularly appeals to lovers of hearty and powerful wines.

The Spätburgunder grape shows itself rich and full-bodied on the palate and delights with a hearty aroma of blackcurrant and wild berries with a hint of vanilla. The red wine is best enjoyed slightly chilled at 15 - 17 degrees. A clean, medium-long finish completes the experience. The radiant ruby red color and the full impression that the wine shows in the glass also complement the experience visually.

Terroir:
The fertile growing region in the Upper Rhine Plain offers excellent conditions for viticulture. Protected from harsh winds on both sides, by the Black Forest massif on one side and the Vosges on the other, an almost Mediterranean climate prevails here.
The volcanic rock in the soil, covered with a loess-loam layer, does the rest to offer an optimal home to the grapes grown here.
Amidst this paradise for winemakers, on the southwest slope of the Kaiserstuhl, lies the municipality of Ihringen. Ihringen, with its district Wasenweiler, is home to one of the largest local winegrowers' cooperatives and numerous other renowned wineries.
