The Solist Fino is the pride and joy of the KAVALAN distillery and forms the masterpiece of the Solist series.
This whisky, aged in the finest Fino Sherry casks, was awarded World Whisky of the Year in Jim Murray's "Whisky Bible" 2012
and received 97 out of 100 points.
Colour: deep golden amber
Nose: rich sherry aroma with creamy caramel and butter toffee. Light note of chocolate with a fruity character. The complex and multi-layered fruit note is reminiscent of mango and overripe citrus fruits, finishing with green apple.
Taste: The natural sweetness is accentuated by mild toffee. The complex fruit flavour is complemented by smoky wood aroma.
Recommendation: Enjoy this special whisky neat or on the rocks as a digestif, in a relaxed setting, with a cigar. It also pairs very well with desserts like crème brûlée.
