The assemblage of new wines from the 2013 vintages with reserve wines from the Maison's extensive stocks has allowed Krug's cellar masters to express the full-bodiedness and aromatic elegance of Krug's various growing regions. The year 2013 began with a long, cold winter and a very wet spring. Fortunately, the summer was hot and sunny, allowing the grapes, a selection of Pinot Noir (43%), Chardonnay (35%), and Meunier (22%), to ripen fully. The wines were blended with reserve wines (146 wines from 11 vintages) and aged for seven years in Krug's cellars, where they developed their elegant style and intense aromas.
