With the Last Ward Barbados 2007, Velier honors the long-standing owner family of the iconic distillery. The Pure Single Rum is a cuvée of 13 casks from the 2007 vintage, which were still owned by Frank Ward. Triple distilled in a pot still, the rum was filled into Bourbon Casks and matured for 16 years in the tropical climate of Barbados. 70 percent was lost to the angels.
The power of the rum lies in a constantly changing and wonderfully expressive range of flavors and aromas – from cardamom and mango to geranium and freshly squeezed oranges, to coffee and walnut.
