The idea behind this new Limited Edition is to emphasize the unique harmony between sherry and peat, while also introducing a new style of Islay malt into the distinctive world of Mac-Talla, thus continuing the journey through Islay's diversity. The full 7-year sherry maturation gives Mac-Talla Oloroso an unmistakable nuance that sets it apart from most other sherry bottlings from Islay. The renowned Bodegas Jose y Miguel Martin supplied the Oloroso sherry casks made from 100% European oak, into which the heavily peated Islay New Spirit was filled, then matured for 7 years in the Morrison Warehouses and finally perfected by the Master Blender.
