The new single cask rarity from the traditional bottler Gordon & MacPhail matured for around two decades in sherry-seasoned oak cask No. 1756. The Speymalt from Macallan Distillery 2000/2021 is an exemplary single malt for discerning sherry fans. Neither chill-filtered nor colored, it unfolds noble aromas of fruitcake with toffee and nectarine at a cask strength of 56.4 percent alcohol by volume, which transition on the palate to raspberry, Morello cherries, and forest berries. The full-bodied, long finish is characterized by marzipan and spices.
