From the outset, an unmistakable sherry note emerges, underpinning this full-bodied dram with rich notes of date syrup and raisins.
The palate reveals a tannic, spicy element, along with notes of cola cubes, cherry menthol, cinnamon, and caramel. The typical Springbank characteristics assert themselves against the strong PX influence in the form of an obvious oiliness and a damp garnish note.
The tannic element continues into the finish, and the PX qualities come to the forefront with notes of sultanas and rich spices.
