Nose: Initially, we are met with the sweetness of dark fruits and notes of tobacco & leather, followed by the maltiness of herbal sweets, honey, and classic sherry aromas such as lovage, dried figs & dates, plum jam, spices & caramel.
Palate: Smooth, velvety, and mouth-filling, a complex dance unfolds of malty-herbal sweetness, dried fruits with dark chocolate, and earthy notes of tobacco leaves & autumn leaves, enveloped by an umami-like spiciness and aromas of cocoa with cinnamon and a hint of chili.
Finish: quite long and very warming, revealing notes of tea leaves, spices, and dark chocolate, accompanied by gentle oak spice and a slight dryness.
CONCLUSION: A classic Highland Sherry Malt for the darker season!
