Taste
Colour: Pale straw yellow.
Nose: Intensely aromatic – passion fruit, citrus and honeydew melon, with a hint of lemongrass and fresh herbs.
Palate: Juicy, intense and multi-layered, carried by a racy freshness that lasts into the finish. Made dry.

Production
The grapes come from two different valleys in the Marlborough region: the cooler Awatere Valley, shaped by alpine winds and sea breezes – source of the spicy, herbal, citrus-driven notes – and the warmer Wairau Valley, which brings ripe, tropical fullness of fruit. Combining the two subregions is the basis of the consistent, balanced style Villa Maria is known for. The bottle is closed with a screw cap – standard for white wine in New Zealand, to keep freshness and fruit at their best.

Pairs with
Enjoy it on its own as an aperitif, or with light starters, seafood and summer salads – the herbal notes go especially well with green salads, the tropical fruit with fish dishes.
