The Westward American Single Malt Whiskey Stout Cask and Westward American Single Malt Whiskey Pinot Noir Cask are new and come in a new bottle. Both bottlings celebrate local traditions – such as craft beer brewing in Portland. The distillers age their Single Malt for an additional year in former Stout Casks. Also typical for the region: the cultivation of wine, especially the Pinot Noir grape variety. During a two-year finish in French oak wine casks that previously contained Pinot Noir, Westward's Single Malt develops intense fruit notes.
Tasting Notes:
Intense and robust with notes of toasted grain and stone fruit, as well as roasted pecans and milk chocolate. Powerful and dry finish.
