With Madame Pommery as the inventor of "Brut", the house has since been considered a pioneer of this globally popular type of Champagne. With the Cuvée Les Clos Pompadour, Thierry Gasco has succeeded in creating a unique prestige Champagne. The vines (mainly Chardonnay) grow on a 25-hectare vineyard directly behind the Domaine. The particularly high chalk content in the soil, the warm harvest year of 2003, as well as the artistry of the Cellar Master, resulted in a significant vintage Champagne of unique taste, highest complexity and density. The impressive 1.5-liter bottle ensures slow maturation in the famous chalk cellars of Domaine Pommery.

Taste:
Pommery Les Clos Pompadour presents itself in a bright golden yellow with light green reflections and fine, persistent perlage. Aromas of lime, caramel, and toffee, as well as subtle hints of fruity baked apple and herbaceous notes of mint, chamomile, and bay leaf, are found in the bouquet. The taste impression is opulent, bringing herbaceous, fruity, and finely spicy notes to the forefront. The aroma is characterized by fresh yellow apples. The finish is enchantingly long and rich.

Production:
Les Clos Pompadour consists of a carefully composed assemblage of 75% Chardonnay, 20% Pinot Noir, and 5% Meunier. Characteristic of this sparkling wine made from the finest grapes from top vineyards in Champagne is that it combines both the best crus and the best vintages. A large part of this cuvée is dominated by Chardonnay. This grape variety produces sparkling wines with the highest complexity and density. The impressive 1.5-liter bottle ensures slow maturation in the famous chalk cellars of Domaine Pommery. The legendary style of the Pommery winery in Reims runs like a common thread through this award-winning delight.
