The red wines of Château Brane Cantenac grow on stony land in the south of Margaux on a gravelly soil typical of the Médoc, which allows for good drainage. The Grand Cru Classé of Château Brane Cantenac is a radiant, full-bodied, velvety wine for cellaring.
Taste:
The 2016 Château Brane Cantenac shimmers deep ruby red with violet reflections in the glass. The nose reveals aromas of dried rose petals, ripe cherries, spices and star anise. On the palate, the attack is rich, broad, with masterfully structured tannins. Long finish with a beautifully balanced acidity that lingers wonderfully.
Production:
Made from a selection of the best grapes, strictly hand-picked and selected by parcel and grape variety. Fermentation took place over 20-25 days classically in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. The wine was aged in French oak barrels for 18 months before bottling.
Serving suggestion:
Ideal with grilled meat, game, lamb, poultry and spicy cheese.
