GRAPE VARIETIES: Nebbiolo and Barbera with small percentages of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot
VINEYARDS: From selected vineyards of our family estates.
VINIFICATION: 20 days skin contact maceration in stainless steel tanks. AGING: 24 months in barrels, with a small quantity in French oak barriques.
TASTING NOTES: Pio Cesare's first "non-varietal" wine, for those who love Piedmontese wines with an international touch. "Oltre" is an introduction to the great classic wines of Piedmont.
Since 1881, the winery founded by Pio Cesare has represented the highest quality and tradition in the production of the famous wines from the Langhe region near Alba. Pio Cesare was one of the very first wine producers to believe in the potential and quality of Barolo, Barbaresco and Barbera and in the possibilities of Piedmont. Since the mid-19th century, Pio Cesare has been one of the top addresses in Piedmont.
