DESCRIPTION
Château La Tour Carnet dates back to the 12th century and is the oldest winery in the Médoc. The Château owes its name to the stable master Carnet, who bravely fought alongside the owner. Today, Bernard Magrez manages Château La Tour Carnet.
The 2020 Château La Tour Carnet is almost always a winner, offering a great, medium-bodied and concentrated style, as well as classic notes of ripe currants, darker cherries, spicy wood and graphite. It has the focused, classic and structured style of the vintage, with ripe tannins and excellent length. It is worth trying, as it will continue to develop for at least a decade.
TASTING NOTES
Serve at 16-18 °C with game dishes, veal, duck, lamb, red meat, and strong hard cheeses.
