Taste:
The 2019 Grand Vin Château Haut-Brion is a classic blend of 49% Merlot, 43% Cabernet Sauvignon, and the remainder Cabernet Franc. Its deep purple hue is followed by a stunning bouquet of ripe black cherries and currants, as well as classic Graves notes of fireplace, embers, tobacco, and cedar. On the palate, this full-bodied beauty is rather regal, firm, and classically structured, with a deep, concentrated mid-palate, building tannins, oak in the background, and a magnificent, magnificent finish. It is very focused, elegant, yet concentrated and powerful in the style of the vintage.
Production:
Château Haut Brion 2019 was produced with the utmost respect for the fruit and the terroir. For winemaking, the grapes are hand-picked and carefully sorted. Fermentation takes place over 21-28 days in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks.
The wine undergoes malolactic fermentation in barrels and matures for 14-16 months in French oak barrels before bottling.
