The red wine from Château Lagrange is a Saint Julien, consisting of Petit Verdot, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon from the 2019 vintage. In this vintage, Cabernet Sauvignon dominates the blend for the first time in the winery's history, accounting for approximately 80%.
Taste:
The 2019 Château Lagrange has a deep garnet-red color. The palate is full-bodied, fleshy, and enveloping, with a lush core of vibrant fruit, velvety tannins, and juicy acidity, smooth and seamless, with a long, expansive finish.
Production:
Château Lagrange 2019 was produced with the utmost respect for the fruit and terroir. For vinification, the grapes are hand-picked and carefully sorted. Fermentation takes place over 21-28 days in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats. The wine undergoes malolactic fermentation in barrel and ages for 18-20 months in 50% new French oak before bottling.
