Origins
This rum originates 100% from Jamaica and was created from a meticulous selection of distillates from the unique terroir of the Caribbean island. The intention of Master Blender Jérôme Tessendier is to present the typicality of this terroir in a perfect balance, thanks to the richness and intensity from molasses distillation in pot stills combined with the finesse and lightness from sugarcane distillation in columns.
Aging
The selected rums age for 2 years in American white oak casks that previously held bourbon. The aging takes place on the island of Jamaica, where high humidity and tropical heat significantly support this process, leading to the development of mature, highly concentrated aromas.
Blending
The aged rum batches travel across the ocean to France to be blended by Cognac Master Jérôme Tessendier. In France, they are blended according to floral, fruity, and spicy criteria and stored for another 24 months in various French oak casks on the banks of the Charente. This results in a rum that seduces connoisseurs' noses with aromas of fresh bananas and yellow fruits, combined with a hint of wood.
Tasting Notes
On the palate, the Jamaican rum is soft and full-bodied with aromas of mango and yellow, exotic fruits. No added sugar.
