Ingredients from the Himalayas, matured at an altitude of 900 meters, inspired by gods and demons – Amrut is Indian whisky through and through. For their globally successful single malts, the ambitious distillers use small-grained and therefore sweeter Indian barley from the foothills of the Himalayas, spring water from the mountains, and Scottish peated malt for smoky variants. High above sea level in Bangalore, the distillates mature intensely under tropical conditions (about 3.5 times faster than in Scotland) mostly in Bourbon Barrels, developing into exotic taste experiences.
