Nose: warm smoke wafts around a campfire, fragrant chestnuts on glowing logs, the sweetness of honey mead, followed by malty beer aromas and some yeast dough, a hint of tree resin
Palate: peppery-alcoholic onset, followed by honey, mead and cookie dough, then spicy-malty roasted aromas, resinous notes and a delicate nuttiness, beneath which a warm smoky note runs
Finish: medium long and warming, with some smoke, cocoa powder, becoming dry with woody notes
Conclusion: Smoky, beery, malty, sweet – what more could you want?
