Taste:
Tiny pearls permeate the bright, pale yellow Veuve Clicquot La Grande Dame in the glass. White flowers unfold on the nose, followed by apple, pear, and peach, rounded off by almond and frangipane. Production:
Despite a weather-challenging start to the year, the summer of 2012 offered abundant sunshine and warmth, allowing the grapes (90% Pinot Noir, 10% Chardonnay) to achieve their ripeness and balance, similar to the 1989 and 2002 vintages. The blend contains grapes from the Maison's most prestigious Grands Crus, including Aÿ, Verzenay, Verzy, Ambonnay, and Bouzy.
