Tasting Notes:
The nose opens with freshly baked biscuit, cardamom and peach skin - at the end a floral note reminiscent of gorse. The palate is complex, with fresh vanilla, fruits, roasted almonds and a juicy tangerine note at the end. The finish is spicy with a hint of banana puree.

Distillery Information:
If you haven't heard of the Daftmill distillery before, it might be because this small farm distillery only released its first single malt whisky in 2018 - after more than 12 years!!! However, since then, the distillery has earned a good reputation among whisky lovers around the world and its bottlings are highly sought after. Whisky has been produced on the Cuthbert family farm since 2005 - and only in very small quantities. Distillation takes place exclusively during the off-season (midsummer/winter); sometimes no more than 100 barrels per year. During the main season, Francis Cuthbert takes care of the barley used to make the whisky. The barley for Daftmill Winter Batch 2020 was grown in the southern fields of the farm. After harvesting in the last week of August 2006, it was stored until malting in summer 2007. The whisky then matured for more than 12 years in seven 1st Fill Bourbon casks.
