The Octave and Dimensions by Duncan Taylor & Co.

Whisky experts and enthusiasts worldwide rave about Duncan Taylor's complex, authentic premium bottlings. These are based on a whisky collection that is one of the largest of its kind and is extremely exclusive, featuring whiskies matured for decades, some of which are very rare and from long-closed distilleries.
 
Across 14 different whisky series, blends, single malts and single cask whiskies find their way to discerning connoisseurs. One of them: The Octave. For this black-labelled series, Duncan Taylor & Co. grants selected single malts or single grains a multi-month finish in octave casks, which usually hold between 60 and 80 litres. True to the motto "small casks, bigger whisky," the independent bottler thus achieves particularly refined, balanced flavour profiles. The Octave is represented today with a cask-strength Islay Single Malt from Laphroaig, limited to only 98 bottles, which was distilled on the whisky island in 2004.

In the same year and also on an island, Highland Park distilled a delicately smoky whisky, which Duncan Taylor perfected through 16 years of maturation in a Sherry Cask. The bottler bottled the sunny single malt from the Speyside distillery Linkwood after eleven years in an oak cask. Both bottlings are part of the Dimensions Collection, Duncan Taylor's way of demonstrating the diversity and influence of individual casks. Each of these hand-picked Scotch whiskies reflects the multi-dimensional character of a distillery.
