Château La Mission Haut-Brion is one of France's absolute top producers, crafting unique red wines that set international standards. The style of La Mission Haut Brion is characterized by intense richness, a robust body, and abundant extract and tannin.
The 2017 is a very dense and concentrated young La Mission with a lovely central palate of dark fruits and aromas of oyster shells and a hint of fresh tobacco.

Made from a selection of the best grapes, strictly hand-picked and under careful quality control.
Château La Mission Haut-Brion, Pessac-Léognan Grand Cru Classé was aged in oak barrels.
The vintage contains 56% Merlot, 4.4% Cabernet Franc, 39.6% Cabernet Sauvignon.
Aroma and Taste:
The 2017 La Mission Haut-Brion is very deep garnet-purple in color, scented of crushed blackcurrants, blackberries and chocolate-covered cherries with hints of cigar box, bay leaves, Indian spices and dusty earth.
Medium to full-bodied with very firm, grainy tannins and a racy backbone supporting the taut, muscular fruit, it has a lot of mineral and earthy nuances overlaying the very long finish.
The aromatics here are incredible, and there is the most glorious density of black, thorny fruit to be seen. It is graceful yet intense, and absolutely delicious. On the palate, it does not have the same intensity as the wonderful 2016, but it truly stands out in this vintage due to its extremely good quality.
Serving Suggestion:
Serve at 16-18 °C with game dishes, beef goulash, red meat, and strong cheeses.
