The red wine from Château Lascombes is a Margaux consisting of Petit Verdot, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon from the 2018 vintage. An alliance of power and elegance, suppleness and tannic richness, Château Lascombes is a complex wine.
Taste:
The 2018 Château Lascombes has a deep garnet-red color and is a bit reductive at first, offering earthy notes over a prominent core of baked blackcurrants, plum jam, and a hint of bay leaves and undergrowth. Full-bodied, richly fruity and loaded with ripe black fruits and earthy nuances, it has a solid foundation of firm, granular tannins with a long and spicy finish.
Production:
Château Lascombes 2018 was produced with the utmost respect for the fruit and the terroir. For winemaking, the grapes are hand-picked and carefully sorted twice. Fermentation takes place over 25-28 days in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. The wine undergoes malolactic fermentation in the barrel and matures for 18-20 months in 40% new French oak before bottling.

Ideal with grilled meat, game, lamb, poultry, and spicy cheese.
