Weingut Peter Briem liegt am Südrand dieses vulkanischen Höhenzugs, in Ihringen-Wasenweiler – dem sonnenreichsten Ort Deutschlands mit über 1.700 Sonnenstunden im Sommer. Die dunklen, wärmespeichernden Vulkanböden geben den Reben eine Reifekraft, die man sonst eher aus mediterranen Anbaugebieten kennt. Im Weingut wird nichts dem Zufall überlassen: kurzer Rebschnitt, mehrfache Traubenselektion und ein bewusst zurückhaltender Holzeinsatz sorgen für Weine mit Tiefe, Eleganz und Struktur – kräftig, aber niemals plump.
Verkostungsnotiz
Purpurrot in der Farbe, körperreich mit verhaltener Kraft. Fruchtiges Aroma mit Nuancen von Beerenfrüchten und Johannisbeere, ergänzt durch leichte Kirschanklänge. Feine Noten von Schokolade und weißem Pfeffer verleihen dem Wein seine sortentypische Würze. Am Gaumen zeigen sich feine, noch junge Tannine.

Klassisch zu Wildgerichten oder gegrilltem Rind; auch zu herzhaften badischen Gerichten ein passender Begleiter.
