Description:
This dry 2022 Spätburgunder red wine from the barrique barrel impresses with its hints of freshly brewed mocha and its fruity Pinot nose. It is an excellent choice, especially for lovers of powerful dry wines. The typical bouquet of Spätburgunder of cherry and blueberries is supported by the subtle vanilla note and the full-bodied barrique note. The red wine is best enjoyed slightly chilled at 14 - 17 degrees.
Terroir/Climate:
The fertile growing region in the Upper Rhine Plain offers excellent conditions for viticulture. Protected from harsh east winds on both sides by the Black Forest massif and the Vosges, it enjoys an almost Mediterranean climate. The volcanic rock in the soil, covered with a loess-loam layer, does the rest to provide an optimal home for the grapes grown here.
In the midst of this paradise for winegrowers, on the southwest slope of the Kaiserstuhl, lies the municipality of Ihringen. With its district of Wasenweiler, Ihringen is home to one of the largest local winegrowers' cooperatives and numerous other renowned wineries. We are a proud part of this unique winegrowing region and are delighted to bring you closer to the tradition and culture of our area with our wines.

Enjoy this dry and powerful wine with strongly aromatic dishes such as game, dark meats like beef, cranberries and potato dishes - or simply on its own and lightly chilled.
