Description:
This German Pinot Gris from Baden impresses with its powerful, aromatic bouquet of red apples and juicy vineyard peaches, and is an excellent choice, especially for lovers of robust and fruity wines. The fruitily ripe grape presents itself full-bodied with a delicate creaminess, and the pronounced fruit lingers beautifully on the palate. The white wine is best enjoyed lightly chilled at 8-12 degrees Celsius. The intense yellow color and golden reflections that the wine displays in the glass also visually complement the experience. An excellent drinking pleasure.
Terroir/Climate:
The fertile growing region in the Upper Rhine Plain offers excellent conditions for viticulture. Protected from harsh east winds on both sides by the Black Forest massif and the Vosges mountains, a climate that is almost Mediterranean prevails here. The volcanic rock in the soil, covered with a loess-loam layer, does the rest to provide an optimal home for the grapes grown here.
Amidst this paradise for winemakers, the municipality of Ihringen is located on the southwestern slope of the Kaiserstuhl. Ihringen, with its district Wasenweiler, is home to one of the largest local winemaking cooperatives and numerous other respected wineries. We are a proud part of this unique wine-growing region and are delighted to bring you closer to the tradition and culture of our area with our wines.
Serving Suggestion:
Pairs particularly well with rich noble mold cheese and desserts with honey, almonds, or marzipan.
