Château Poujeaux is located on the magnificent gravel slopes of Grand-Poujeaux. The soil types and grape varieties are perfectly matched, resulting in full-bodied, elegant wines. The roundness and charm of Merlot are balanced by the tension and energy of Cabernet Sauvignon. Although Petit Verdot makes up only a small part of the blend, it brings a powerful structure and a rich aromatic palate. Finally, Cabernet Franc offers additional complexity.
Taste:
The Primeur Château Poujeaux 2020 has a deep garnet-red color with violet reflections. Intensely aromatic, the nose exudes beautiful notes of black fruits, combined with more floral notes of violets. When aired, more mineral and smoky notes emerge. On the palate, this great Moulis red wine is supple and gradually unfolds a velvety feel with silky tannins.
Production:
Château Poujeaux 2020 was produced with the utmost respect for the fruit and the terroir. For winemaking, the grapes are hand-picked and carefully sorted. Fermentation takes place over 25-28 days in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. The wine undergoes malolactic fermentation in barrels and ages for 15-18 months in new French oak before bottling.

Ideal with grilled meat, game, lamb, poultry, and spicy cheeses.
