2022 Moscato d'Asti DOCG - Pio Cesare

Pio Cesare has been producing wines for 135 years and five generations in its ancient cellars in the center of the Piedmontese city of Alba. The Pio Cesare winery was founded in 1881 by Cesare Pio. He was a very successful entrepreneur and was inspired to produce a small and exquisite amount of wines from the hills of Barolo and Barbaresco for himself, his family, friends, and customers. Cesare Pio dedicated himself to the terroir of Piedmont and the production of wines of the highest quality. Over the years, Cesare Pio built a flourishing business. His entrepreneurial spirit encouraged him to travel throughout Europe in the early 20th century to publicize and promote Pio Cesare's wines. His passport, proudly displayed at the winery in Alba, bears the number 55. His son, Giuseppe Pio, the second generation, found himself at the turn of the century in a flourishing winery. He continued his father's passion and invested in expanding the cellar and trade, making Pio Cesare a benchmark for the region's wines.

This Moscato has an incredibly fine mousse. A wine of exceptional elegance and freshness.

Blend and Origin:
From old vines in selected vineyards in Santa Vittoria d'Alba, Neviglie, and Trezzo Tinella. The grapes are gently pressed and partially cold fermented.

Delicate yellow

Taste:
Aromas of honey, rich ripe fruit, with nuances of grapefruit and sage. Slightly "frizzante". Produced in very limited quantities.

Serving Suggestion:
Pairs with Gorgonzola cheese, apple pie, panna cotta with fresh mango
