The Cask Orkney 15 Year Old now replaces the 18-year-old version, but is in no way inferior in terms of quality and price-performance ratio. Nothing changes except the age statement; the bottling is from Bourbon casks, at 46% drinking strength, non-chill-filtered, and with natural colour. This presents a magnificent “Old School” Orkney Single Malt with light smoke, fruity-spicy notes, and hints of heather/heather honey.
Nose: Subtle and soft, with green apple and nutmeg, wood spice, sea salt and hazy smoke.
Palate: Toffee, peach and apricot, with a rich, velvety texture.
Finish: Nutty and dry with a slightly charred background.
