Champagne Krug Rosé 27ème Édition (0.75 l) with gift packaging

Krug Rosé is an unexpected, elegant and impressive rosé champagne. It was inspired by the dream of the fifth generation of Maison Krug to create a rosé champagne that had never existed before and that could be re-created every year.
Krug Rosé 27ème Edition consists of 38 selected wines from nine different vintages between 2005 and 2015. For spice, color and structure, it was complemented with 10% macerated Pinot Noir from Aÿ and Mareuil-sur-Aÿ. The edition consists of 57% Pinot Noir, 23% Chardonnay and 20% Meunier. Assemblage and Origin:
Krug Rosé 27ème Edition was composed around the 2015 harvest, a year characterized by intense heat and drought between late May and mid-August, which slowed grape growth.
Fortunately, rainfall and moderate temperatures in the second half of August allowed the grapes to ripen optimally, and the harvest took place between August 31 and September 21. The wines of the year were blended with reserve wines from selected vineyards from eight other years. In total, reserve wines make up 55% of the final assemblage.

Color:
Elegant pale pink

Aroma:
The nose reveals aromas of rosehip, smoked ham, mulberry, red currant, peony, pepper and grapefruit.

Taste:
On the palate, delicate honey, citrus fruits and dried fruits emerge with a long finish, accentuated by fine bubbles.

Menu suggestions:
This champagne is suitable as an appetizer with silky foie gras or high-quality anchovies or as a main course with earthy and possibly spicy dishes with game, lamb or white meat.
