Laurent-Perrier rarely produces vintage champagne. To ensure that Brut Millésimé remains a unique and exceptional champagne, only the best vintages are used. The 2008 vintage was characterized by a cold but not icy winter and a dull and rainy spring. The harvest began in mid-September with dry and cool weather. The high-quality grapes presented a wonderful aromatic diversity, promising an outstanding vintage.
DESCRIPTION
The 2008 vintage is the selection of an exceptional year, from which only a selection of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir Grand Cru plots were incorporated into the composition. For the "Brut Millésime 2008" assemblage, only the best grapes of the Chardonnay (50%) and Pinot Noir (50%) varieties from plots selected by Laurent-Perrier are used. The aging period in the cellars is approximately 9 years.
TASTING NOTES
Mineral aromas on the nose with the elegant scent of citrus and white fruit. Lively on the palate, a profound champagne of lasting freshness with notes of bitter orange and lemon on the finish.
SERVING SUGGESTION
This Brut Millésimé 2008 is a perfect accompaniment to rich as well as delicate dishes such as seafood, fine fish, poultry, and veal fillet.
Serving temperature: 6 - 10°C.
