This Brut Rosé Vintage 2016 is the result of a long and gentle infusion, which allows the juicy and ripe aspect of the berries to be extracted while preserving their immense saline freshness. A deep, fruity rosé, palatable, intense and mature. The result of a dry, continental, sun-drenched summer.
Taste:
Intense pearls penetrate the salmon-pink Brut Rosé Vintage with shimmering red reflections in the glass. The hot, dry weather with plenty of sunshine greatly benefited the Pinot Noir grapes. They impress with a very fruity, intense taste and a velvety texture. The Chardonnay is in no way inferior, presenting itself as more classic, chiselled and saline. A summery-fresh, wonderfully intense bouquet with notes of ripe, juicy yellow fruits (vineyard peaches), red, slightly tart berries (currants) and citrus fruits (blood oranges). After aeration, also notes of apricots reminiscent of jam.
Production:
Only in good years does the cellar master decide to produce a vintage champagne. This essentially includes the first vineyards acquired by the house. The Rosé Vintage cuvée consists of 62% Pinot Noir and 38% Chardonnay and is aged on the lees for an average of 4 years. After disgorgement, the wine rests for at least 6 months to complete its maturation.
Serving suggestion:
Enjoy chilled at 8-10°C. The freshness of this Roederer Brut Rosé Vintage is excellent as an aperitif or as an accompaniment to seafood, fish, poultry and pastries such as biscuits with ripe red berries.
