A powerful, barrique-matured Pinot Gris from the Mosel – grown on shell limestone, with aromas of dried fruit and nuts instead of the otherwise rather light, zesty Pinot Gris style.

Taste
Intense and powerful in its aromatic profile, characterised by dried fruit and nuts – a Pinot Gris with substance rather than lightness.

Production
The grapes ripen on shell limestone soils, which give the wine its minerality. After extended skin contact, the wine is matured in barrique, which explains its powerful, complex style.

Pairs with
Heartier cuisine that can stand up to the oak ageing – braised poultry, mushroom dishes, mature cheeses.

In context
With 88 points at Meininger's German Pinot Prize 2024, this Edition ranks in the top quality league of German Pinot Gris – a statement wine for anyone looking for Pinot with power rather than just freshness.
