- Nose: A very fruity nose of dark berries (sour cherries, blackcurrants) with fresh notes of mocha and toast
- Palate: Refined and silky on the palate, with a powerful, balanced tannic structure. The texture is dense and very velvety thanks to the ripe, well-coated tannins. The finish is long with fruity notes, but dominated by the quality of the tannins.

DESCRIPTION
The red wines of Château L’Evangile grow on the Pomerol plateau, where the subsoil of clay and gravel forms the essential component of Château L’Evangile's terroir. In 2017, the entire stock of Cabernet Franc fell victim to the spring frost, so the vintage was made from 100% Merlot grapes for the first time.
DEVELOPMENT
Produced from a selection of the best grapes, strictly hand-picked by plot and grape variety.
The 2018 Château L'Evangile matures in oak barrels.

TASTING
Dark garnet ruby sparkles in the glass. On the nose, fine aromas of ripe plums, smoke, eucalyptus and a hint of truffle, underlined by earthy notes.
On the palate, it is medium-bodied with intense aromas of black and red fruits paired with fine tannins.
SERVING SUGGESTION
Serve at 16-18 °C with pot roast, entrecôte, rump steak, black truffles and Côte de bœuf.
