2018 Patelin de Tablas red - Tablas Creek Vineyard - California, USA

A dark, savory Syrah aroma reminiscent of Cornas: teriyaki, black olives, eucalyptus and black plums. Meaty and juicy on the palate, with flavors of soy marinade, black raspberry, woodsmoke and white pepper. The long, slightly tannic finish echoes black fruits and spices. Delicious now, but with the substance and balance to age for up to a decade.
