2019 Château Haut Bailly Magnum 1.5L AOP Pessac-Léognan
The 2019 Haut-Bailly had just been bottled before my visit. It is better than the 2018, with brilliant definition on the nose and a newfound purity. On the palate, it is silky smooth with enormous depth, wonderful concentration, and excellent precision on the finish, with layers of subtly spiced black fruits. A fabulous wine with a capital "F". Tasted during a vertical tasting of Haut-Bailly at the chateau.
