Nose: Aromas of red berries and cherries with loamy soil and spice; raspberry and crushed strawberry; darker fruit notes with time
Palate: Medium to full body; silky and supple with well-integrated acidity; rich and fleshy, with black-cherry and blackberry fruit wrapped in healthy tannins; subtle damp-earth notes; a long, well-structured finish
Our old vines are over thirty-five years old and produce a wine of exceptional aromatic intensity, faithfully revealing the characteristics of this extraordinary terroir. In a beautiful dark ruby-red color, brilliant and clear, this wine reveals notes of black berries and a mouthfeel full of power and concentration. Like all Gevrey-Chambertin wines, it requires a few years of waiting before being fully appreciated.
Recommendation: Beef Bourguignon or cheese platter
