2022 Cabernet Sauvignon & Merlot Barrique – Powerful & Elegant

Discover an outstanding cuvée from GLATT. This composition of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot combines the international elegance of classic grape varieties with the unique terroir of the Kaiserstuhl in Baden. A wine for moments that demand depth and character.

Craftsmanship & Ageing

This dry quality wine matured patiently in barrique (oak barrels). This process gives the wine its velvety texture and characteristic toasted notes, without overpowering the primary fruit of the grapes.

The Taste Experience:

  • Aroma: The nose is dominated by dark forest berries, cassis, and a fine spice of vanilla and cedar.

  • Palate: A powerful but perfectly integrated tannin structure. The finish is long-lasting and harmonious.

  • Origin: The volcanic rock of the Kaiserstuhl gives the wine a mineral component that sets it apart from conventional cuvées.

Serving Suggestion:

This red wine is the ideal companion to hearty dishes such as braised beef, game dishes, or aged hard cheese. We recommend decanting the wine about an hour before serving so that it can fully develop its bouquet.
