Oé was founded in 2015 by Thomas Lemasle and François-Xavier Henry with a clear mission: to promote sustainable viticulture and change the way wine is consumed. The company has been a certified B Corp since 2017 and an "entreprise à mission" since 2021, with a fixed 1% of turnover going to biodiversity programmes. Oé is also a member of the Mouvement Impact France and holds the "Engagé à Lyon" label.
The winemaker
This Bordeaux comes from the little village of Saint-Michel-de-Lapujade, where the winemaking brothers Pascal and Nicolas farm their vines organically. The grapes grow on the terroir of the Entre-deux-Mers – the area between the Garonne and the Dordogne known for its fertile, varied soils.
Vinification
A classic Bordeaux blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Malbec – the grape varieties that traditionally form the backbone of the region.
Tasting note
On the nose, ripe fruit combined with toasty and spicy notes. Round and full-bodied on the palate, with a long, harmonious finish. Powerful and tannic, yet pleasantly approachable.
At the table: Entrecôte, vegetables grilled on the plancha, strong characterful cheese.
