2024 Sancerre Blanc - Domaine de Terres Blanches
Producer & terroir
Domaine de Terres Blanches, one of the Saget family's estates in Bué-en-Sancerre and Amigny, covers ~13.5 ha planted with Sauvignon Blanc on calcareous soils of the "caillottes" and "terres blanches" types.
Working with consultant Stéphane Derenoncourt, the wines are aimed at purity, minerality and expression of terroir, to produce fresh, structured wines that shine with food
Pairs with:
Classic Loire pairings - goat's cheese such as Crottin de Chavignol
Shellfish and seafood (oysters, scallops, sushi)
Light fish, salads, asparagus and delicately seasoned dishes. The wine's citrus-mineral backbone and moderate weight let it pair with a wide range of seafood and white meat.
