Tasting Notes
Nose: Alluring, sweet-malty sherry notes, combined with delicate aromas that release subtle spices. When the glass warms up, honey, vanilla, and pear drops emerge.
Palate: Delicate and light, with a delicious combination of malt and sherry sweetness. Nuances of dried fruits, vanilla, cinnamon, and cloves further entice the taste buds.
Finish: Long, soft, and spicy.
In 1865, John Grant acquired the Glenfarclas Distillery, whose name translates to "Valley of the Green Pastureland" in English. Since then, the tradition of whisky distilling has been passed down from generation to generation. Two hundred years after John Grant's birth, John L.S. Grant, from the 5th generation, manages the Glenfarclas Distillery. Sherry is stored for several years in Spanish casks specially made for Glenfarclas before they can impart their distinctive sherry aroma to Glenfarclas Single Malt.
