BURGUNDY CHARDONNAY LOCATION: The vineyards of Bourgogne Chardonnay from Domaine DOMINIQUE GUYON are located in the village of Meuilly, near Nuits-Saint-Georges.
VINEYARD AREA: The parcels belonging to the winery cover an area of 0.4 ha, perfectly situated on a steep slope.
SOIL AND GRAPE VARIETY: Clay-limestone soil 100% Chardonnay Production limited to 30 hectoliters per hectare Age of vines: 30 years
HARVEST AND VINIFICATION: Hand harvest in small crates. Sorting of the harvested grapes in the cellar. Alcoholic fermentation in barrels with regular stirring of the lees.
AGING: Aged in oak barrels and bottled after 12 months.
DESCRIPTION AND STORAGE: Brilliant color, beautiful nose with floral and almond notes. An elegant wine with great finesse and freshness. A wine that can be drunk immediately but can also be stored for 5 years.
SERVICE: Serve at approximately 13°C. Ideal with warm fish appetizers.
Domaine Antonin Guyon encompasses the most renowned parcels of the Côte d'Or, making it one of Burgundy's most respected wineries. It has been family-owned for several generations and is currently managed by Dominique Guyon. The approximately 48-hectare Domaine produces a range of exceptional wines from the appellations Gevrey-Chambertin and Chambolle-Musigny, Savigny-Les-Beaune and Aloxe-Corton with the famous Corton, as well as from Beaune, Volnay, Meursault and Puligny-Montrachet. The 25 Crus of Domaine Antonin Guyon are all vinified in their own cellar in Savigny-lès-Beaune.
