DESCRIPTION
2017 brought generous rainfall to the vines during the growing season, as well as dryness and warmth during ripening and harvest.
These were almost ideal conditions for producing rich and complex grapes.
DEVELOPMENT
Made from a selection of the best grapes, rigorously hand-selected under careful quality control.
The 2017 Château Pavie, Saint Emilion 1er Cru was aged in 100% new oak barrels.
The vintage contains 60% Merlot, 22% Cabernet Franc, and 18% Cabernet Sauvignon.
TASTING
A very deep purplish-black catches the eye. Perfect aromatic purity combined with notes of black fruits and warm black plums followed by nuances of licorice, espresso enchant the nose. On the palate, full-bodied, rich, firm, velvety and packed with layers of fruit, the pleasure ends very long and incredible.
SERVING SUGGESTION
Serve at 16-18 °C with game dishes, beef goulash, red meat, and strong cheeses.
