In the 2020 vintage, Count Stephane von Neipperg presented a magnificent collection. The 2020 Canon-la-Gaffelière consists of 55% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Franc, and 15% Cabernet Sauvignon.
One of the best Canon-la-Gaffelières in recent years, with breeding, enormous charm, and great balance.
Color:
Dark ruby red with violet reflections.
Nose:
Classic aromas of blackcurrant, ripe black cherries, spring flowers, and truffly earth.
Taste:
The bouquet is opulent and lively, complemented by white flowers and dried roses, followed by plums, black cherries, and minty cigar wrapper nuances.
Description:
No sulfur was used during grape reception and vinification in the wooden vat. For the first time, malolactic fermentation took place immediately after alcoholic fermentation, still in the fermentation tank.
The CLG remained on the skins for about 38 days and was very gently extracted like a tea with only about 6 punch-downs per tank.

Made from a selection of the best grapes, strictly hand-picked and under careful quality control.
The 2020 Château Canon La Gaffelière, Saint Emilion, matures in oak barrels.
The vintage contains 50% Merlot, 35% Cabernet Franc, and 15% Cabernet Sauvignon.
Tasting:
Intense aromas of blackcurrant, blueberry, and rose petals intertwine with the sweet spices of the wood and the minerality of the terroir.
Remarkable structure, always elegant and spicy, with a very long finish.
Serving Suggestion:
Serve at 16-18 °C with game dishes, beef goulash, red meat, and strong cheeses.
