The vintage wines of Château Léoville Poyferré are red wines rooted in the Saint-Julien wine region, made from Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot grape varieties. Like all first-class growths of the region, the wine impresses with aromas of dark fruits such as blackcurrant or blackberry and cedarwood on the nose and palate. The tannin structure of these wines offers excellent aging potential.

The 2003 Château Léoville Poyferré vintage offers a deep garnet color. The nose is very open and flattering, highlighted by smoky notes of leather, toast, but also spices, vanilla aromas, and very subtle black berries. On the palate, the wine is lush and generous. It retains a silky texture, fine and velvety tannins. A powerful and elegant wine with a long finish and a hint of freshness, which confirms that this wine still has good years ahead of it.

2004 Château Léoville Poyferré (1.5 l - 13.5% vol.)

The 2000 Château Léoville Poyferré vintage impresses with an intense garnet red. The nose is very open with notes of brandy-cherries and jammy sour cherries. We find a lot of depth with notes of cedarwood and roasting. A very complex nose that has managed to maintain a youthful glow. On the palate, the wine is immediately full and fleshy. The tannins are present and fine. The wine develops into deeper aromas of mocha and intense dark chocolate. A lingering and warm finish for a great gastronomic wine.

2005 Château Léoville Poyferré (1.5 l - 13.5% vol.)

The 2010 Château Léoville Poyferré vintage pours into the glass with a dark garnet red. The color is brilliant and clear. The nose is very concentrated. Notes of jammy black fruits emerge, with slightly smoky and toasted notes. There is a hint of cedarwood, bringing aromas of eucalyptus and a touch of freshness. The palate is full and fleshy. The tannins are still catchy, but the texture of the wine remains silky. The retro-olfaction confirms the aromas perceived on the nose: jammy blackcurrant, delicately woody, blond tobacco. This wine has an exceptional aromatic persistence with a fresh finish for an intoxicating vintage.
