The red wine from Haut-Bailly is a Pessac Leognan, consisting of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot from the 2017 vintage. This Château Haut-Bailly 2017 presents itself as elegant, powerful, and refined, reminiscent of the house's typical style and offering a beautiful expression of this vintage.
Taste:
The 2017 Château Haut-Bailly has an intense garnet red color. Spicy nose of cinnamon, cloves and anise with a core of roses, warm blueberries, Black Forest cake as well as a hint of undergrowth and iron ore.. On the palate, it is medium to full-bodied with firm, ripe, grainy tannins, lots of freshness and great finesse that continues brightly and energetically in the long, mineral finish.
Production:
Château Haut-Bailly 2017 was produced with the utmost respect for the fruit and the terroir. For winemaking, the grapes are hand-picked and carefully sorted. Fermentation takes place over 21-28 days in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. The wine undergoes malolactic fermentation in barrels and matures for 14-16 months in French oak barrels before bottling.

Ideal with grilled meat, game, lamb, poultry, and spicy cheese.
