DESCRIPTION
Château Léoville Barton, produced under the direction of Anthony Barton in a traditional way, creates a wine with a strong personality due to a very high proportion of Cabernet Sauvignon and a small proportion of Merlot in the blend. A truly great and particularly fine Barton that can certainly compete with certain First Growths.
DEVELOPMENT
Made from a selection of the best grapes, strictly hand-selected by parcel and grape variety.
The 2017 Château Léoville Barton, St. Julien 2ème Cru Classé matures in oak barrels.
The vintage contains 93% Cabernet Sauvignon and 7% Merlot
TASTING NOTES
Dense garnet red with a ruby rim. Complex red berry bouquet with cranberry and raspberries. In the second nose, sour cherry juice and light tobacco. On the palate with a silky texture and perfectly supportive tannins. In the concentrated finish, a voluminous aftertaste with hints of cherries and black peppercorns.
SERVING SUGGESTION
Serve at 16-18 °C with game dishes, beef goulash, red meat and strong cheeses.
